Hello! I’m Kelsey! I’m a lover of colorful sunsets, whispy clouds, the heavenly smell of honeysuckles on a summer night, culture in its many forms, tennis and the sound/smell of freshly opened tennis balls, and bomb pops among other things. In this blog I’ll write about faith, love, and culture as I traverse this journey of life with my amazing husband and our Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd puppy. We aren’t perfect and we might be a little crazy. Sometimes it’s okay to unleash you’re inner dorkfish. Grab a bomb pop and stay a while 🙂

    • Ooo. I’ve never tried ketchup with egg rolls. But the first time I had nam I didn’t know you’re supposed to break it apart so I thought it was like a Lao hush puppy. Wanted some ketchup on it big time!

  2. Hey, Kelsey! I recently accepted a blog challenge…it’s more like a writing exercise. It’s called “My Writing Process Blog Tour” for new bloggers. I don’t necessarily like these chain mail-esque activities, but I thought the topic was worth discussing. I think your blog is great, and I feel we have become fast friends. I’m also looking forward to reading more from you now that you have graduated. 🙂

If you are interested in participating, please let me know soon. My participation date is June 2, which would make yours June 9. Here’s how it would work:

FIRST: I’ll feature you on my blog on June 2, stating you’re next. Then it’s over to you to prepare your own blog post.

STEP ONE: Acknowledge the person & site that involved you in the blog tour. That’s me!

STEP TWO: Answer the 4 questions below about your writing process:

    1) What am I working on?
    2) How does my work differ from others of its genre?
    3) Why do I write what I do?
    4) How does your writing process work?

STEP THREE: Say who is on next week (your own chosen three) – give a brief bio and link to the website for each of them. Their date would be June 16. (To be honest, I think I’m breaking this rule because I don’t know of anyone else who would participate. oops!)

I would be delighted if you could join me! 🙂

      • Yay, awesome! It’s fairly simple. You discuss your writing process by answering 4 questions. Then choose 3 people you wish to continue the chain. You should be ready to post your entry on June 9 (I will prompt you with my post). It looks like this:
http://foodieonboard.com/2014/05/26/writing-process-blog-tour/ (from the person who asked me to participate). Easy enough, right? Feel free to ask me any questions. Just be warned: I didn’t know about this thing until recently so I may be doing it wrong too. ha!

      • Should be good to go! Thanks again for asking me to participate 🙂 And it can be like the blind leading the blind on this one.

  3. Noony, I just realized that I don’t know of anyone else willing to participate. I will ask someone that might be willing, but is it okay to post if no one participates? Woops!

  4. Hi Kelsey, thanks for visiting our blog and liking it! We absolutely adore sticky rice too! What did you think about the meal my daughter Bunny made for our Lao dinner?
My husband and I spent a lovely three weeks in Laos, in fact Bunny was conceived in Luang Prabang! The food, the beauty of the land and the warm friendliness of the people remain a great memory for us. Cheers
